Part 2 : Create

Its time to build your perfect product

The Rule of One’s

Before can start building the ideal solution to our audience's problems, we need to decide what problem we are solving. The rule of ones says to focus on one problem you can solve for one audience. Here is how you do that.

Creating the can't fail product.

Now that you know the problem you can solve, we need to set about creating that perfect solution. I bet you probably have a ton of ideas already. Or maybe you are drawing a blank as to what to do next. This training is going to show you 3 methods you can use to design that perfect solution to your customer's problem.

Test it.

Testing is critical. 1st impressions count and recovering from a bad first impression can be tough. We will also be selling your solution to our own personal network. These are people who know like and trust us and we want to keep it that way.

Part 3 : Sell

This how we link people with a problem to your solution to their problem.

Selling is easy if know how.

Context - Show context slide. By this stage you have done your market research with a sub set of your network. You have used that feedback to source or build a beta product that solves a known problem that your network has. Now it is time to link the 2 together so you can sell your products. And this is the 3rd step in the ASK, CREATE Sell framework. Its time to sell.

Why does this matter- You can have the best product in the world, u could even have a highly engaged audience. But if you not linking the 2 together, u are not making sals, U are not in business.

Promise- In this Module we are going to run the 3 components that make up a marketing system, a system that creates sales.

This topic can get really complex. There are marketing gurus everywhere selling all kinds of supposed foolproof software, templates, frameworks, course. But there are really on 3 components to a marketing system.

Steps 1 - First, we need to attract the people who have the problem we can solve to us.

Second, we need to build trust with them, that we are selling is the answer they have been looking for.

Thirdly we need to get them to buy. That transition from being interested to actually spending money.

In the next 3 trainings we take a look at each in turn. I think you are really going to enjoy this.

Step 1 – Attract

In this training, I am going to show you 4 different methods of attracting people who will be interested in what you are selling. These 4 methods require no budget and almost no technical expertise. Sound good?

I sound like a stuck record, but we need people to sell to. We don't need just anybody though, we need people who a problem that our products solve, and who will be prepared to pay for a solution. But as we are aiming to earn our 1st grand online, we don't want to spend money to find these people. We need strategies that work with very small audiences.

Here is what we do.

Method no. 1

Approach the group you originally approached for your market research. This seems obvious, but for many of us, it is the last place we go. We don't want to mix business with pleasure, we don't want to bug our mates. Bollocks. Your family and your mates want to help you, they want to support you. The only time selling to your mates becomes an issue is if you are doing it wrong. If you are pushy or selling them something no one wants. But if you are solving a problem they have, plus they get to help you out, then its a win-win situation. Plus they will be keen to see what their feedback to you resulted in.

Reach out to your total local network, the one you originally set up before you filtered down to a subset of people for your market survey. Now I know what you are saying, why are we approaching people who are likely to have no need for your product. If they don't have a dog they won't need a dog bed. They may be thinking if getting a dog, or they know someone who has a dog. Our goal here is to get referrals. Your network knows and likes you. They want to see you succeed. They definitely each know someone who needs your solution. Get in touch with them, share your story, share your excitement. Don't sell them, rather ask for their help in getting the word out. This approach is surprisingly effective.

Method no. 2

Post on your social media channels. Don't sell, but just share your story and ask for comment and input. The people who have the problem you can solve will reach out to ask for more info. Don't flog your channel to death though. No one likes someone who abuses a social friendship to sell something. But people do love to be helpful and to share their opinion. So leverage that by asking for help and input. The sales will come.

Method no. 3

Use free classifieds portals. Places like Gumtree, OLX, Craig's List, and Facebook market place. Choose categories that will appeal to the people with the problem you can solve. Post your dog bed ads in groups of pet owners for example. Classifieds may not suit your particular niche. Selling high-level investment advice in Gumtree may not be a great idea but for many of us, these can be a great place to get started.

Method no. 4

The last attraction technique I want to share with you is accessing someone else's network. There may well be someone in your network or someone your network can help you reach, that has an audience that would be interested in your solution. Reach out, make contact, and get on their podcast, guest blog on the website, get in their weekly mailer. You may need to give them a reason to do this but most people love a good startup story. If you are honest, passionate, and sensitive, ie don't be hard-selling, most people can't help but give you a helping hand to get started, especially if it makes them look good, or generates sales, likes, followers for them.

None of these techniques requires any budget or a large audience. Remember we are only after your 1st grand. U may well surpass that goal by 10 fold if you take action!

There are so many attraction strategies you can try. These are just a few that are super easy to do, cost zero money, and work with a small audience.

Step 2 - Nurture

In this lesson, you will learn how to nurture someone so they transition from simply knowing your product exits through to being ready to buy your product.

Step 3 – Close

It can be a challenge to transition people from being interested in your offer to actually buying. There is a ton of material out there about how to close a deal. Let's take a look at the best way to get someone to buy from you.

Let put this in context again. You have developed a product that solves a problem that a group of people has. They want their problem solved and you have designed your solution with them in mind. You have let people know you and your solution exist. You have given them the opportunity to develop trust with you and perhaps even try out your product.

If you look at this holistically, you have been closing since the very beginning. If a sale does not organically grow out of this flow, with only the mildest of nudges then you need to look back on these steps and see where you want wrong.

There is a ton of content, training, workshops, and books on closing techniques. Personally, I think they are all a really bad idea. They are really just ways to trick, or even bully someone into buying. I the moment a skilled salesperson could cast their spell and get someone to buy. But if it is not the right solution for them, there will be buyers remorse once the spell wears off.

Investing time, money, and energy into getting the wrong person to buy the wrong solution for them, from you is pointless. Close the deal but be sure you are talking to someone who really needs what you have and by giving them the time and info they need to trust and choose your solution.

With all that said, a little coaxing to get someone across the line can really help.

Step 1

Start by asking for the sale. It can be as simple as that. So many of us romance our customers forever but never ask for the sale. Our fear of getting a no and our addiction to the potential promise of a new customer keeps us from asking for the sale. What if they say no and I have to go find someone else? Keep your ears open for buying signals in your nurture conversations. If someone starts asking about price or very detailed product specifics, it's a sign they have to decide to buy and now just looking for that final confirmation that this is right for them. Ask for the sale, simple.

Step 2

If they say yes, be ready with whatever you need to close the deal. Know your bank details, have an invoice ready, have stock on hand. Do what it takes to make the actual transaction as painless and simple as possible.

Your homework is to practice making a sale. Start from the point of someone say yes I want it. Don't neglect the post-sale onboarding steps.

This training has been all about how to earn your 1st grand online. But in actual fact, it has been how to launch your online business. This is your launchpad. Anyone you sell to, you want them to have an amazing experience. You want them to buy again, or buy a different product, and tell their friends about your solution. The post-sale experience is what separates businesses that fade away and businesses that grow, thrive, and scale.

Hang on you left something out?

What you think you need but don't actually need to make you 1st grand online
